You make enough to do both. Otherwise retirement first and foremost since those years, once they are gone, they are gone.
It would be best to structure the sign on bonus so that you can pay taxes now at a much lower bracket. Just my 2 cents.
If it is the same line of work (income from professional medical services provided by you) i’d keep it all together.
We had a 35 yr old GE side by side fridge. It
Worked ok but it wasn’t cold enough for my wife’s breast milk so we got an LG french door one, only extra option is the ice maker. Well after a few days it started leaking water from where the water line in the back goes into the freezer. Tech came 4 times trying to fix it. After 2 months home depot begrudgingly ended up sending a new unit. LG support was useless. New unit did the same. This time the tech changed the whole water apparatus and problem got fixed. As you start reading online, most brands have issues. Amazing that technology that has been around for so long at this point is not perfected. French door design is much better as what you use most commonly is at eye level and having freezer at the bottom is more energy efficient. When we renovate our kitchen we will get a subzero, albeit one of the smaller less fancy ones. There a huge difference in the build quality and ability to keep food good for longer. With the induction stoves, is it instant off once you turn it off like gas stoves behave?

It works ok on my iPhone but not from my Mac laptop. Main issue I have is it won’t let me log in now. Once my UN and password are in, nothing happens
Try a Mustang GT, comes with a stick and as a convertible. Reliable powertrain, Tons of power and lots of fun, very affordable. Otherwise a Shelby. The 2020 Shelby supposedly will have about 750hp, only manual tranny. Ferrari territory for around 70k.
Renting the car you are considering buying is a great idea. We just went on a weekend getaway and rented a Mustang GT. Wanted a Shelby but was not offered in that area.
At 400k you should be able to cash flow both of those expenses over 6 months or so, assuming 30k for furniture and 40-50k for landscaping. Turn your letter in today. Enjoy life. You have worked hard. No reason to stay in an unhappy work situation. Take a few months to figure out how you want to move forward.
