    income isn’t the factor, it’s tax rate. Gotta have a lot of money to get to a 42% marginal tax in retirement that you can’t do anything about. You have a lot of time between now and retirement to optimize things. A primary consideration would be if you feel you’re certain to retire in a high income tax state.
