The first time that happened to me I thought it was a mistake. I went so many years as a practice owner with no W2 income that I had not thought about it for for many years. Now that I am a W2 employee again but only 3 days per week I have not seen it yet.

Gvs, I do it the other way around. Max 403b in February. Finish SS in spring. Spouse finishes 403b in October. So our take home goes up in Feb, April, and October every year. Then January goes back down.
