Recently moved an IRA BDA from a large firm to TD Ameritrade to save on AUM fees ( 1.35%). The larger firm had mainly Vanguard funds, which is great, but were very diversified in multiple bond funds, small, mid, small and large caps funds, multiple international funds, etc and they were all transferred over that way to the new account.
I’d like to streamline this account now that its at TD Ameritrade to be closer to my 4 fund portfolio for my taxable account.
If I sell some of these funds and then just by more of the ETF funds that will make my overall investments aligned, will that cause a taxable event?

No. Selling inside your inherited IRA is not a taxable event.
