I am an IM resident in my intern year. Because I only had half a year’s salary last year, I was not able to fill up my Roth IRA completely. Just got my tax refund, and I was planning on directing all of it to my 2018 Roth. Are there any problems with this, since I filed my taxes for 2018 already? Do I have to file an addendum?

Guess I should have exercised a bit more Google Fu before posting. For anyone else who was wondering, the answer is: You can contribute to the previous year’s Roth IRA after filing taxes for that year, and no you do not need to file an addendum. Source.
