  • Repeat refinancing in the setting of lowered interest rates

I recently refinanced with Sofi at a rate of approximately 3.5% in December of last year after determining that I would not be pursuing PSLF. In the wake of falling interest rates I was wondering what the community's thoughts were on refinancing again? It seems that current advertised rates for fixed rate refinancing with the major lenders are roughly 1% less than what I recall at the time that I refinanced and that this would be an opportunity to secure an even lower rate.

Background: I have 3 months remaining in my fellowship (surgical subspecialty) and will be starting at my new position in late summer.

Refinance as many times as possible if you keep getting better deals.
