  • Should we change our IPS to focus on investing instead of student loans

My wife & I are DINKS (maybe kids in ~1 yr)
    Combined salary: $405K
    Combined annual bonus: $170K
Combined Student loans: $419K on 5yr, ~4% fixed
No other debt. Maxing out 401k/HSA/backdoor Roth. Solid emergency fund

    Current IPS:
    1) Max out all accounts
    2) Pay off student loans in 2-3 yrs ( ~8000K a month + all bonus $)
    3) Buy a house after paying off loans in high cost of living area using dr loan

Question: Given the changes in economy should we:
    A: Stay the same course
B: Decrease amount going toward student loans w/ goal to pay off loans in 4-5 yrs & buy a house now (assuming a buyers market).
C: Decrease amount going toward student loans w/ goal to pay off loans in 4-5 yrs & invest in the stock market in a taxable account
D: Some other option we haven't considered

    refinance loans. maybe get better?
would put on 5 year plan, not early.
if you werent planning a house already then still wouldnt plan.
    rest to taxable.
