There was a ridiculous amount of traffic and lines outside stores while driving to work early this morning. I couldn't believe it.

Hold your horses everybody. Thanksgiving was 6 days later this year than last year. Sales needed to happen more immediately and purchasing needed to be more crammed in. So already not apples to apples. Economy better, consumer spending up, wages higher, inflation, etc.

I contributed by stopping at Walmart to purchase a 4 dollar DVD in between rounding at different hospitals.

I always wondered who was still buying DVDs. What did you pick up? We used to buy seasons of 30 rock, parks and rec, etc until Netflix came around.

I worked today but did buy my 11yo a kindle online, discounted today. And picked up some pillows I've been eyeing at anthropologie, for 30% off :-) But we did most of our Christmas shopping a couple weeks ago.

I got Justice League. I still get DVD's sometimes because the cost to purchase the movie can be less then a digital rental.

We still have DVD/BluRay at the cottage. No internet or cable/OTA TV. Was looking at picking up Boston Legal but didn't as wasn't discounted deeply enough.

I’m guilty. I bought a board game to add to our family collection that was 50% off regular price on Amazon ($20 instead of $40), and then bought a 300-pound Olympic weight set for my weight bench in the garage from Dick’s that was marked down from $219 to $149. I’ve had my eye on it for a while and this was the lowest price it’s been.

Wait today was not a typical work day? Is that why my staff was itching to get out?

We went hiking with old friends (med school classmate and his wife) in SoCal and then stopped for sushi. It was the perfect #optoutside day!

We are in Charleston with the in-laws. I got some things for my nieces and nephews on amazon Thursday night. Decent deals on video games because my one sister is more clueless about games than I am.

I had to take my dog to the vet on Black Friday because she sustained an injury running in a dog park Wednesday afternoon. The bill was not discounted. Otherwise I started putting up Christmas decorations and did not go to a store.

Went to the casino last night. Turned a $12 profit. There were no deals at the casino, just frivolous spending.

Even if you lose $12 at a casino I call that a win!

Went to work, came home, watched Iron man 1 again with my kid and went to sleep.

You don’t have to. I contributed to my share of that % from my office. Black Friday used to be a lot cheaper for me...and Cyber Monday is just 2 days away.
