Welcome to the forum.  I enjoyed reading your story as published on WCI last June.  You've done quite well for yourself!

You may want to ask Dr. Dahle to update the link on that page to your new site (It currently links to debtfreedoc.com).

      Best,

      -PoF

      • Thank you very much for your encouragement!

I have asked WCI already, but he has yet updated it, probably because he is too busy to bother, lol.

        I'll ask again

        • Hi All, I'm a Radiologist with the VA, formerly military, long time fan and avid reader of the WCI.  My wife is an academic Pathologist at a major university.  We basically do everything the WCI recommends with regard to retirement planning and investing--max 401(k) which is the TSP in my case, max her 403(b), back-door Roths, and saving 20-25% of income.  As we're both W-2 employees, boy do we get crushed on taxes, and I'm generally interested in tax-reduction strategies for dual-physician couples like us, to the extent that's even possible once you hit the AMT.

          • Hey all! I'm Josh. Soon to be EM intern. Got an MBA last year between MS3-4. Incredibly grateful to have found WCI as an MS3. I've steer everyone who will listen to this site and have lent my WCI book to a few people as well. I've been helping/advising a few colleagues to organize and plan their finances over the past few months. I plan to continue spreading the word.

            • Welcome to the forum,  drwisemoney,  jgauger, and RadDoc6876. I've added the drwisemoney to my Pinterest board for Doctor Resources. It's still fairly new, but I'm working on it. Look forward to learning more about your accomplishments, pretty impressive.

                • I'll quit hanging around without introducing myself.

I'm a military general surgeon married to a civilian family/sport med physician.  I'll openly admit that my wife introduced me to the site.  Due to a recent deployment, I had immense amounts of time to peruse the site and to enact a low cost retirement/high percentage savings plan for our family.  Also, had lots of time to read, and killed a half dozen of the recommended titles from this site.

Immensely helpful for those of us who have no formal education in financial planning.

                    • I'm Mini Wise Money, daughter of Dr. Wise Money.

I started reading WCI articles a few days ago. I find them interesting and stuff he says sounds familiar from what mom tells me. Plus, my mom DWM will pay me $1 per WCI article I read. She says greatest value of reading these articles lie ahead of me in my future. Knowledge is power. For now, I'm happy to read something interesting and make some money too.

Here's a bit more about me.

MWM is a 3rd grader who loves horse-riding, photography, painting, swimming, singing, dressing fashionably, & collecting ear-rings. MWM has learned the importance of compound interest & investing in her future at the tender age of 8, so she has been depositing her gift money from her generous grandparents and other family members in her Mommy's Bank, where she earns 10% annual interest. Frequently, we joke that MWM has the largest net worth among her nuclear family, especially when her mom DWM was still paying her student loans back in 2015.

You can find what I am up to by visiting my page @ http://drwisemoney.com/mini-wise-money/.

                      Thank you, WCI & readers!

MWM, you are such an impressive young lady! I love your quotes on your mom's blog and look forward to reading more as you mature. Hope you earn a lot of money reading articles on the WCI blog!

                          • My name is Karen Shapiro. I’m an entrepreneur, small business owner and CEO of Dedicated Defined Benefits Services, a third party administrator of defined benefit and cash balance plans. I discovered White Coat Investor late last year and was really impressed with all the good information on tax strategies, retirement planning for high income people -- and just reading members’ stories and learning what books people are reading and where they might retire.

One of our specialties is working with physicians. We sell retirement benefit plans to self-employed, locum tenens doctors and those who have small practices of 2-10 people. One thing we enjoy about our work is hearing how our self-made clients have earned their income and their journey to success.

                            • Greetings! I'm an internist in Alabama. After completing residency in 2012, I knew enough Dave Ramsey ("live like no one else so that someday you can live like no one else") to pay off my education loans in a year. Thankfully, during that time I discovered WCI and Bogleheads, so I then actually knew what to do after becoming debt-free.
